Our story

Weatherbys Scientific began life in 1985, commencing parentage testing in thoroughbred horses using blood typing technology. Our formative years were spent at a facility on the same site as the Irish Equine Centre in Johnstown, County Kildare, before we moved to our current lab in Naas. Health & Safety/Facilties Coordinator

We are currently recruiting a Health & Safety/Facilties Coordinator to join our Ireland team.

Our Irish office houses our General Stud Book and Weatherbys Scientific teams, including our laboratory. Maintaining this space to a high standard is key in allowing our teams to work effectively and provides support in keeping everyone safe in their working environment.

As Health & Safety/Facilities Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining our office spaces, ensuring the environment is safe and well-maintained
  • Working with contractors to provide building repairs and coordinate building work
  • Carrying out regular safety inspections and robust building testing
  • Organising health & safety training and documentation
  • General office maintenance

You will flourish in this role if you have:

  • Strong understanding and experience in health & safety regulations, risk management & hazard recognition
  • Excellent organisational and problem solving skills
  • The ability to prioritise workloads to ensure our offices and warehouse are maintained to a high standard
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail to identify potential risks and to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
